SUMMER!!!
In case you didn't notice from the title, it is summer! I am safe and sound back home and so far haven't been able to relax a whole lot. Been mostly passing the time unpacking loads of stuff and going job searching. I didn't realize how much I have accumulated over the year...oi vey.
I am not going to write much since not much has happened and this is a college based blog, just got on to change the title to Linfield Life (Sophomore year!) and shall be on my merry way. Hope everyone has a fun filled summer, with a job for money to have fun as well. haha. See you! <3

Headed Home in 2 Days!
It is hard to believe that freshman year is coming to an end. But I cannot wait to get the rest of my finals done. I have been studying very hard for the past 4 days so I hope all the hard work pays off! I just found out recently that I have 100% in my Nutrition class which I find to be remarkable! (That class was not easy.) So I hope I do well on the final tomorrow as well. Mostly need to focus on my drawing final and my History final. I will try and remember to post pictures of my drawing final for anyone who wants to see it. The theme is my grandma's farm.
I can't think about much more that has happened over the Month of May, mainly just getting ready for the end of the year. I have slowly packing up my things over the month and my dorm room is starting to look a bit bare in certain areas. Most of my clothes are packed up in my car which means that I only have a few days left to go. I pulled an almost all nighter last night so I am sorry if not everything I says makes sense, I think I might take a quick nap here soon before working on my drawing final.
I cannot wait to see everyone again, even though it really hasn't been that long since I have, but it will be nice to have the stress of finals off my back. Soon the stress of finding a job will replace it. That's life.

Good News!
Hello,
I am impressed by how fast these past four weeks have gone by. I haven't had a lot to write about seeing that my life is homework and the occasional hang out with friends, but I have to say these past few days have really been a blessing for me. As most of you know I had two exams on Tuesday which I was determined to pass. My grades have been slipping and to be honest with you a C isn't exactly what I would call passing for me. So I worked hard, formed study groups and made new friends, and developed new study habits that worked for me, and got a B on my Chinese exam, and felt very good about my Nutrition exam!
I have also been attempting to find work for Fall semester, sounds like I might get a job in Dillin (our cafeteria), and I will try and apply to the library as well! My mom also said the manager of All Mixed Up, a business in Bend said to come in and talk to them about possibly getting hired. Possible summer job?
Also, yesterday I got notice that I have received a scholarship that I applied for and worked hard to get! I am very excited, my first ever scholarship! I have to keep applying, but the fact that I got one has my hopes up and I am feeling a bit better. Hopefully I can keep working to get my debt down even further!
Well, about 3 and a half more weeks until freshman year is over? Can you believe it? I am very excited to say the least, even though I know the next three weeks will consist of hard work...but I feel a bit more confident now that I have a better understanding of what study habits work for me! I am heading home to Bend this weekend with two of my best friends from Linfield, Mariah and Elizabeth! I have to say I am very excited to show them my hometown and they seem excited to get away from Mcminnville for a weekend! Looks like we have most of the weekend planned out too which will be fun!
Hope everyone else is doing well, I enjoy hearing from people, and thank you for everyone who has supported me through this year, been very helpful! I have to say freshman year was hard to begin with and it takes about a year to truly settle in. My advice for all you high school seniors who are going into college, friends do not happen over night, don't be discouraged the first few months when nobody knows anybody. It will take time and energy on your part - but the end result is definitely worth the patience. Another thing is as excited as you are right now, you will most likely feel homesick, maybe not right away but it normally kicks in at some point. Breathe, talk to someone about it, and if you are near Linfield let me know so I might be able to come visit! haha
Well I am off to do some homework so that I don't have much over the weekend.
Love to all

Midterms Week
I woke up this morning around 8 am and jumped right into studying for my history midterm. So far it has involved a ton of reading and comprehension regarding early European History. My brain...
I already took my Nutrition midterm last week, and my remaining two midterms are both on Wednesday. The drawing midterm sounds easy but it is not! I have a lot of projects to finish and they all have to go presentable. Also I have to learn how to mat one of them, which would be fine, if the picture I had to mat was a lot smaller. ugh...I can do this, 7 more days!! I can't even comprehend what Finals week is going to feel like...probably way more stressful that Fall's finals.
Marley is visiting me this weekend which is nice. She had called last night wanting to get away from Willamette. At this current moment she is passed out on my bed curled up in her sleeping bag..daw. We had gone to dinner where I introduced her to Jay and they went off speaking in Chinese, which I think she enjoyed.
It is raining, what else is new? SO now I am even more unmotivated to go down to the art center and work on my art, wish I had brought my projects to my room...although one of them requires me being there, ugh so torn! I should go...maybe i will drive haha. Not a fun weekend but hey its midterms weekend, this is what I was expecting. Although Marley was a surprise.
Gots to go!

Midterm part 1 Tomorrow
I am exhausted, didn't get much sleep last night and I fear the same might happen tonight. I have a Nutrition midterm tomorrow which I have been studying for, and thankfully I don't feel nervous - I just want to try and retain as much information as possible and then try and do my best. It's the best I can do.
Last weekend was absolutely amazing. I went to the Oregon coast with some of my Bend friends to celebrate the 19th birthday of the fabulous Jessica Edgren! Her family had rented us a yurt and we mainly went shopping and hung out at the beach all weekend. It was awesome to see everyone, I am glad I could escape school for a bit and just relax.
Here is the group on the beach at night!

Not much is happening this week, the midterm is the biggest thing by far. I am probably also going to go see a guest speaker tomorrow in the ICE auditorium. It's the youngest daughter of Robert Kennedy, which should be interesting, and I know my mom would love for me to go.
This weekend I am going to try and head over the pass with Stuart and Marley to head to Bend. Karen and Cody are excited that I am coming to hang with them, and I can't wait to see how my dad is doing with his new hip. From his facebook posts it sounds like he's enjoying every moment of life right now, which is good to hear!
Spring break is coming up fast, can hardly wait! I miss my friends and family!
I should know the Friday before spring break if I got the RA position, cross your fingers, I am hoping!
Well I should go study some more even though I feel like all I want to do is sleep. I have a friend coming over to study with me too. here we go...
